Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Claudia A. de Palma
Dr. Claudia A. de Palma, affectionately known as Dr. de Palma, hails from the vibrant country of El Salvador in Central America. She began her journey in dentistry at the prestigious university in San Salvador, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in August 2001. Her commitment to excellence led her to further taking courses in endodontics and pathology, deepening her expertise in the field.
In November 2011, Dr. de Palma and her family embarked on a new chapter, relocating to Canada. Determined to continue her dental practice, she dedicated herself to mastering the English language and successfully completed the rigorous National Dental Examining Board qualification process in December 2017.
Dr. de Palma is an active member of The Pankey Institute, a renowned and respected institution at the forefront of dental education and professional development. The Pankey Institute is dedicated to empowering dental professionals to provide the highest level of comprehensive care to their patients through a holistic approach. The Pankey Philosophy, centered on the concept of “Complete Dentistry,” emphasizes not only technical excellence but also the importance of understanding each patient as a unique individual. This commitment to lifelong learning and a patient-centered approach equips Dr. de Palma with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to deliver personalized, comprehensive care that enhances her patients’ oral health and overall well-being.
Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Claudia de Palma is deeply committed to humanitarian efforts, particularly in refugee advocacy. She played a pivotal role as the Refugee Sponsorship Coordinator for the Diocese of St. Catharines, passionately supporting the reunification of families and helping them build brighter futures. Her unwavering dedication extends to her role on the Board of Directors at CASA EL NORTE, a transitional home for refugees.
Dr. Claudia de Palma is also a proud volunteer with Health Outreach, a not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to providing health services, including public health, to impoverished people in remote areas of developing countries. Every year, she travels with the organization to Guatemala, where she provides much-needed dental care to remote communities, striving to enhance lives through her work.
In addition to her volunteer work, Dr. de Palma is actively involved in the local dental community. She has been serving on the Executive Board of Directors of the Niagara Peninsula Dental Association since 2020, contributing to the advancement of the profession.
Currently residing in Fonthill, Dr. de Palma cherishes spending time with her husband, Alex, their three children Jose, Sammy, Isabella and the family’s australian Labradoodle “Coco” . Outside of her practice, she finds joy in the outdoors, creating lasting memories with family and friends.
Dr. John Perri
John is happily married to his high school sweetheart Paula. He is the father of three adult sons. He spent much of their youth being actively involved in their numerous activities and endeavours helping out as coach or manager whenever needed. John was raised in Thorold and attended Denis Morris Secondary School in St. Catharines graduating in 1987. He received numerous high school awards at graduation and was granted the Larkin Estate Award towards his university education. Following high school, he attended the University of Toronto where he received a Bachelor of Science degree with Specialist in Biochemistry. Upon completion of his undergraduate degree John was admitted to the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto graduating in 1995. During his university years John continued to play intramural soccer.
John continues to be actively involved in many dental associations and organizations.
Most recently he has become involved with an organization called Health Outreach, a charity that provides dental services to underprivileged children on developing countries. He has participated in two mission projects in Guatemala. He currently serves as the assistant to the treasurer in this organization.
During his spare time he enjoys his annual fly-in fishing adventures.
